Anne Lamott and a story from Traveling Mercies

I was over with our brothers and sisters at Twitter, writing about what an amazingly great year it’s been in so many ways, and how I give thanks to God. But how at the same time, it’s been a nightmare in so many ways, for So many people. Job asks God to explain the massive losses and tragedy, and God harshes him. He says in effect, I don’t to. and besides, you wouldn’t understand.”. If I were God,or God’s west coast Rep, I’d be more of a Nana type– make everyone cocoa. anyway, I was reading people’s tweets to me, and someone said this read this old piece of mine every New Year’s Eve. It’s from, 15 years ago, and I thought some of you might be lifted by it. Stay safe tonight and stick together and keep the Faith:

Broken things have been on my mind as the year lurches to an end, because
so much broke and broke down this year in my life, and in the lives of the people
I love. Lives broke, hearts broke, health broke, minds broke. On the first
Sunday of Advent our preacher, Veronica, said that this is life’s nature, that
lives and hearts get broken, those of people we love, those of people we’ll
never meet. She said the world sometimes feels like the waiting room of the
emergency ward, and that we, who are more or less OK for now, need to take
the tenderest possible care of the more wounded people in the waiting room,
until the healer comes. You sit with people, she said, you bring them juice
and graham crackers. And then she went on vacation.

“Traveling mercies,” the old black people at our church said to her when
she left. This is what they say when one of us goes off for a while. Traveling
mercies: Be safe, notice beauty, enjoy the journey, God is with you. More

Non-violent Communication and Forgiveness

“NVC self-forgiveness is connecting with the need we were trying to meet when we took the action that we now regret.”

Dr. Seuss and love

“We are all a little weird, life’s a little weird and, when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”

From Eckhart Tolle

“You do not become good by trying to be good, but by finding the goodness that is already within you, and allowing that goodness to emerge.” (Oneness With All Life)

The Christ Energy

” As it is understood there is the necessity for the human mind to have an identification, so the word Christ or Christos was given unto this energy that is that which is a masterful energy that allows for full healings, awakenings and connectivity to God in a direct way. It allows for one to be fully aware of their abilities, shamanically speaking for some that is a way of understanding, that ones can create and manifest miraculously within their life experience and assist others to do such. It is a full expression, in your human body, in your human experience, to be realized and accepted. It is not about the questioning of ‘why me’, ‘the unworthiness of this cannot be so’, ‘I’m not good enough.’ Of course you are good enough, you are lovable enough. The gift of incarnation was your soul’s choosing. And it is the energies of God or Source that are being experienced through the physical structure. Just as the master Jesus embodied this energetic field that created the miraculous, that created an alignment, an attunement to source to the oneness of all. It is the energy of which Christ melded with to do the miracles that were done. And all master healers, master teachers from times before and times now are vibrating at that frequency. It is the frequency of masterhood, it is the frequency of alignment and attunement to the soul, to the divineness of your being to be expressed. ” – THEO

Why Me?

“Instead of always crying out “Why me?” learn to ask, “Who is this ‘me’ that always feels this way?” Guy Finley
